European Automotive Technician - $40-$65/hr - No Weekends

Location: Arlington, VA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:00 PM; weekends closed

We are seeking experienced European Automotive Technicians in Arlington, VA for a busy, independent European repair facility. This opportunity offers approximately $40-$65/hr depending on technician level and production, a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, and consistent workflow backed by an approximately two-week appointment backlog. Technicians work in a heated and air-conditioned 11-bay facility with extensive factory and aftermarket diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair European vehicles, including BMW, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Volvo.
  • Perform mechanical repairs independently while maintaining strong productivity and repair quality.
  • Use factory and aftermarket diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
  • Perform advanced automotive diagnostics independently at the A-Level or continue developing advanced diagnostic capabilities at the B-Level.
  • Document repair findings and vehicle information using FastTrak.
  • Maintain consistent production while taking ownership of assigned work.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of European automotive professional industry experience.
  • European automotive repair experience is required.
  • A-Level candidates must be able to perform advanced automotive diagnostics independently with minimal supervision.
  • B-Level candidates must have strong mechanical repair skills and the ability and willingness to develop advanced diagnostic capabilities.
  • Experience with BMW, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Volvo, or other European vehicles.
  • Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment; the shop uses Autel, Autologic, TOPDON, Matco, and Snap-on scan tools.
  • Automotive certifications are preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Production-based compensation of approximately $40-$65/hr depending on technician level and production.
  • A Level technicians: approximately $45/hr with a 30-hour guarantee; approximately $50/hr at 40 hours produced; base A-Level rates can reach approximately $55/hr, with top flat-rate compensation reaching approximately $65/hr.
  • A Level annual earning potential of $100,000+.
  • B Level technicians: approximately $40/hr with a 30-hour guarantee; approximately $45/hr at 40 hours produced and approximately $48/hr at 50 hours produced.
