Company: Mars Wrigley- Albany, GATitle: Operator CombosThis site manufactures Combos Required Shift:12 Hour Day ShiftWeek 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, SundayWeek 2: Wednesday, ThursdayHours: 7am-7:30pm Days7pm - 7:30am Nights(Hours may differ based on business needs)Description of Role:Operator (Combos) must also ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. Functions as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities. Operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area.What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • 1+ years' experience in manufacturing
  • 1+ years' mechanically inclined
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • JDA and ATLAS knowledge or other warehouse management systems experience
  • Experience maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Forklift certification
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
  • Performs activities and job tasks within a manufacturing line or area
  • Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level
  • Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting
  • Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM)
  • Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality check and keeps detailed logbooks
  • Any ad hoc tasks
