Job description


Poker Dealers' duties include providing The Row Poker Guests with outstanding, friendly, and professional service while dealing a clean, error free poker game.
Responsibilities
  • Deal poker in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take the correct house rake
  • Understand and adhere to all rules and policies in The ROW Hotel Casino Poker Room Rule Book and Procedure Manual
  • Understand and adhere to minimal Nevada State Gaming Control Board Rules and Regulations
  • Understand and adhere to Bad Beat Jackpot rules and procedures
  • Protect and maintain table banks
  • Account for chips and money going out and coming in for new table game sell-off
  • Assist the supervisor in the Poker Room during dealer breaks
  • Help with other Poker Room needs including taking chips to guests at the tables and waiting on guests who enter the Poker Room
  • Help keep the Poker Room clean, safe, and orderly
  • Provide information to guests on all current Poker Room promotions
  • Must follow specific rules and guidelines in the Poker Room Rule Book and the ROW Employee Handbook
  • Must know tournament dates and times, and be up to date with all current promotions
  • Ambassador for the ROW Hotel/Casino
  • Exemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and vision
  • Exemplify our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must have some internal audit knowledge
  • Must have excellent communication and observation skills
  • Must have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests
  • Must have good math skills with the ability to count chips and cash
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • High School diploma or equivalent

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 1 years' experience dealing NL-Texas Hold'em and HL-Texas Hold'em
  • Smoking and vape free
  • Poker Dealers may be subjected to loud noises/music
  • Poker Dealers may be subjected to varying degrees of temperature
  • Poker Dealers sit at large Hold'em tables and are constantly bending the back and stretching
  • Must be able to reach guests chips and cards
  • Must have excellent communication skills and always be mentally alert
  • Must have the ability to use good judgment and be patient with guests

GUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech - both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
