What is a Smokers Box?

A Smokers Box, often referred to as a smoker's box or smoking box, is a container or accessory designed to hold wood chips, herbs, or other flavoring agents that are placed inside a grill or smoker to infuse food with a smoky flavor during cooking. These boxes are typically made of stainless steel or cast iron and are used by both home cooks and professional chefs to enhance the taste of meats, vegetables, and other foods. The box is filled with wood chips and then placed directly on a heat source, allowing the chips to smolder and produce flavorful smoke. Smokers boxes are popular for those who want to add depth and complexity to their grilled or barbecued dishes without needing a full-size smoker.
