Holiday Market - Experience Smokehouse Clerk

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Smokehouse Specialist to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily preparation, smoking, and quality control of our extensive menu, ensuring that every batch meets our exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operation of our smokers, handling everything from meat trimming and seasoning to temperature monitoring and cook times.

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and timely manner.

• Prepare meats, house-made sides, and components for both our high-volume retail cases and our growing catering operations.

• Uphold rigorous standards for food safety, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed.

• Assist customers with knowledgeable recommendations regarding our products, smoking methods, and cuts of meat.

• Operate equipment, such as slicers and scales, safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated professional experience working in a commercial smokehouse, BBQ restaurant, or high-volume culinary environment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, rub applications, and precise temperature control.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, paired with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and maintain sharp attention to detail when handling, packaging, and stocking products.

• Weekends and holidays are mandatory as they are Holiday Market's busiest times.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
