What is a Smog Shop?

A Smog Shop is a specialized automotive service center that conducts emissions testing and smog inspections on vehicles. These inspections are often required by state or local regulations to ensure that cars meet environmental standards for air quality. Smog Shops are typically certified by government agencies to perform these tests and may also provide minor repairs to help vehicles pass inspection. If your car fails a smog check, a Smog Shop can often diagnose the issue and recommend necessary repairs. Regular smog checks help reduce air pollution and keep your vehicle compliant with the law.
