Job description

Major League Baseball is looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Technology Department to become a trusted partner to and support the Chief Technology Officer and their respective technology organizations.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Technology Leaders to develop a deep understanding of their goals, priorities, and operating cadence in order to proactively provide support that enhances day-to-day operations
  • Manage each executive's day-to-day calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters
  • Organize and coordinate meetings (scheduling, sending reminders, managing catering, and coordinating agendas for weekly/quarterly team meetings)
  • Coordinate all domestic and international travel and manage expense reporting
  • Assist with coordinating with other department Executive Assistants (as necessary)

Qualifications & Skills
  • Self-Starter with Initiative - Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong initiative to work independently
  • Organizational and Time Management - World-class organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a resourceful approach, combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle shifting demands with a good attitude
  • Proactive and Flexible Partner - A naturally proactive and flexible individual who can anticipate needs and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and Team-Oriented - Highly team-oriented, able to build strong internal and external relationships, and work efficiently with cross-functional teams
  • Strong Judgment and Problem Solving - Possess sound business judgment, superior work ethic, and demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to act as a gatekeeper and escalate relevant information to executives as needed
  • Ability to Manage Confidential Information - High integrity and sound judgment to maintain strict confidential information and treat sensitive data with appropriate discretion
  • Communication Skills - A strong ability to communicate confidently, both written and verbally, and build strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally

Technology Proficiency
  • High efficiency and experience with key tools, including Google Workspace (Google Docs and Sheets)
  • Travel and Expense - Concur systems for travel and expense management
  • Scheduling - Outlook for meeting and conference room scheduling
  • Other - Zoom scheduling for remote employees and meetings

Experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment, with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
