2nd shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm with occasional OT when needed

$21.00/hr + $2.00 Shift Premium

This role supports the preparation, processing, and handling of composite materials to ensure consistent product quality and efficient production flow. The position plays a critical role in maintaining process control, supporting production targets, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

What You Can Expect to Do as an Operator (SMC):

  • Operate SMC production equipment and follow established procedures
  • Prepare and process materials used in sheet molding compound production
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality
  • Perform quality checks and verify product specifications
  • Handle materials and support staging of raw and finished goods
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment or process issues
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas
  • Communicate issues or deviations to leads and supervisors

What We Are Looking For in an Operator (SMC):

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or composite materials environments preferred
  • Experience with SMC or similar production processes is a plus
  • Certified and prepared to wear respirator when needed
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
