In this job, you will drive the execution of emerging technology projects from development to implementation into normal business operations. This includes physical grid equipment working across the SCE enterprise to integrate new technology that drives progress toward a smarter grid and cleaner energy future.

Responsibilities
  • Manages the activities of one or more moderate to large, short to mid-term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.
  • Exercises considerable latitude and judgement in developing plans, budgets, and resources, directing activities and actions, and determining deliverables.
  • Decides appropriate methods, procedures for new projects with significant independence.
  • Engages with all levels of management and acts as a key consultant for both functional and business issues. Leads technology implementation projects, including project planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Develops technical implementation plans including phased rollout strategy, network and infrastructure requirements, and system interfaces.
  • Facilitates complex technology integrations, custom configurations, and enterprise-scale deployments of new solutions.
  • Leads troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues during pilots and implementations to rapidly resolve bugs and defects.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of experience in emerging technology project management.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field
  • Project Management Certification
  • Experience developing project plans and schedules using project management tools and templates, such as MS Project, Visio, etc.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, setting clear stakeholder expectations, identifying critical path activities, and driving teams to meet milestones
  • Familiar with strategic or operation planning, engineering, or analysis of the electric grid
  • Experience identifying business needs and developing business requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence internally and externally, both verbally and in writing

Additional Information
  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
