Job Description
We are the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Field Deployment Group. The AMI Project Manager position is a critical role in coordinating this effort and it is a great opportunity to join an exciting program, at the heart of modernizing meter technology. AMI is a foundational technology to enable our clean energy future and reimagine how customers will engage energy management in the future.
The Meter and Field Deployment team is responsible for deploying 2.4 million smart meters to our Upstate New York customers. We are committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers, shareholders, and communities today, while delivering the energy systems of tomorrow.
 
Key Accountabilities
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
•    Manage the holistic deployment strategy of meter across stakeholders and in accordance to the defined project schedule, to assure performance objectives are delivered in a cost-effective manner
•    Accountable for installation contractor performance including process improvements, tracking of key deliverables and resource management to maintain project plan.
•    Manage and coordinate cross functional process requirements critical to the install of an AMI meters across NY.
•    Act as the central point of contact for meter deployment questions across NY
•    Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve gaps and align on meter deployment requirements in support of meter deployment.
•    Support ad-hoc reporting, inventory planning, and escalated concerns impacting network deployment
•    Lead process discussions and continuous improvement collaboration related to AMI meter deployment
•    Monitor and manage ad-hoc meter validation, end-point acceptance, and process defects
•    Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders in to obtain and share information that will benefit us.
•    Support the expansion of AMI across client site.
 
Qualifications
•    A Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of Operations and/or Project Management experience
•    Demonstrated project management experience on large-scale programs preferred.
•    Experience coordinating cross-functional resources and a diverse group of stakeholders
•    Ability to build and maintain project wide metrics to be shared with leadership
•    Ability to anticipate and resolve barriers proactively
•    Able to think commercially and identify novel ways of working
•    Effective relationship management skills
•    Strong verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills
•    Ability to be flexible and agile to changing conditions.
•    Ability to work in virtual teams
