Job description

High Power Technical Services, the Regional Service Provider for DISH Network in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio is currently accepting applications for Smart Home Technicians.

Smart Home Technicians are responsible for the installation and service of:

  • DISH Network satellite video equipment
  • Hughes / ViaSat satellite internet equipment
  • Google Nest home automation equipment
  • RING Video equipment
  • Samsung / Sears appliances
  • Home security equipment.

As a HPTS Service Technician, you will enjoy:

  • Great pay! Average techs are currently earning between $18.00 and $21.00 per hour after training.
  • Paid Training. Field training last approximately 30 days.

  • Performance Pay Increases: Techs can qualify for the next tech pay tier every 180 days with 6 tiers available. Earning potential increases with every tier.

Minimum requirements for the position:

  • 21 years of age or older (for commercial insurance purposes)
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Clean criminal history
  • Clean driving record with no DUI's, license suspensions, reckless driving, excessive speeding tickets, etc.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Have some experience working with basic hand tools
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position, climb ladders, access crawl spaces, and attics, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, squat, kneel, bend, crawl, and stand for long periods as needed.
  • Enjoy working in an outdoor environment (we work in heat, cold, snow, rain, storms, and other types of inclement weather!)
  • Be comfortable working one on one with customers! In addition to service and installation, we present products and services to the customer so you must be willing to sell!
  • Be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
