The Smart Factory Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors, drivers, and callers at the plant. This role keeps the front entrance, conference room, and break/coffee area running smoothly and presents a professional, welcoming face for the company while supporting light administrative and traffic-direction needs.

What You'll Do:
Five Core Accountabilities
1. Greet and manage all visitors, ensuring a professional and secure front-desk experience
  • Welcome every visitor, vendor, and contractor promptly and courteously
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date visitor log (sign-in/sign-out, badges if applicable)
  • Notify the appropriate employee when their visitor arrives

2. Answer and route incoming calls in a timely, professional manner
  • Answer phones during business hours and direct calls to the correct person or department
  • Take accurate messages and ensure timely follow-up
  • Maintain a working knowledge of employee extensions/departments

3. Maintain conference room and common area readiness
  • Stock and restock snacks, plates, cups, and other conference room supplies
  • Ensure the coffee machine and common area are clean and fully stocked daily
  • Proactively reset conference rooms between meetings and flag any maintenance issues

4. Direct plant traffic and support facility wayfinding
  • Assist drivers and visitors who arrive at the wrong building or entrance
  • Provide clear directions to the correct dock, entrance, or office
  • Communicate with plant/warehouse staff as needed to confirm delivery or visit details

5. Support general front-office administrative needs
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and package deliveries
  • Assist with basic clerical tasks as assigned (filing, data entry, badge issuance, etc.)
  • Order office/kitchen supplies as needed and flag reorder needs before they run out
