What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Smart Contract Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Smart Contract Developer, you need a strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals, proficiency in programming languages like Solidity or Vyper, and experience with decentralized application (dApp) development. Familiarity with tools such as Truffle, Hardhat, Remix, and knowledge of smart contract auditing and security best practices is essential. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills are critical soft skills for this role. These abilities ensure the creation of secure, efficient, and reliable smart contracts that underpin trustworthy decentralized systems.

What are some common challenges Smart Contract Developers face when working on blockchain projects?

Smart Contract Developers often encounter challenges such as ensuring code security, avoiding vulnerabilities like reentrancy attacks, and dealing with the immutability of deployed contracts, which makes fixing bugs post-deployment difficult. Additionally, they must stay updated on rapidly evolving blockchain frameworks and tools, and work closely with auditors and project managers to ensure compliance and correctness. Collaborating with front-end and back-end developers is also key, as smart contracts often form the backbone of decentralized applications requiring seamless integration.

What are Smart Contract Developers?

Smart Contract Developers are professionals who design, write, and deploy self-executing contracts on blockchain platforms such as Ethereum. These contracts encode rules and agreements into code, enabling automated and trustless transactions between parties. Smart Contract Developers are skilled in blockchain technologies and programming languages like Solidity, and they ensure that contracts are secure, efficient, and function as intended. They often work with decentralized applications (dApps) and participate in the broader ecosystem of blockchain development.

What is the difference between Smart Contract Developer vs Blockchain Developer?

Investment Operations Associate - Tokenized Products

Atlantic Labs Manager GmbH

Greenfield, MN • On-site

Full-time

Job description

At Centrifuge, we're not just talking about tokenization, we're making it real. In the past year alone, we've partnered with S&P Dow Jones Indices, announced the first tokenized S&P 500 Index Fund, brought Janus Henderson's AAA CLO strategy onchain, and hit $1B in assets locked on our platform. We're also well funded, backed by leading investors like ParaFi Capital, Greenfield, Circle Ventures, and Republic Digital.

With Centrifuge v3 now live across multiple chains, we're building the open infrastructure for real-world assets at scale. What you'll do: Execute daily fund flows: Coordinate stablecoin settlements, oversee tokenized share issuance (using ERC-4626 and ERC-7540), and manage complex smart contract interactions. Manage DeFi liquidity & routing: Direct cross-chain liquidity and connect our tokenized RWA products into broader DeFi protocols, navigating ecosystems like Sky, Aave, and Morpho.

Build intelligent monitoring: Design workflows that automate complex reconciliations between onchain and offchain systems, monitor liquidity pool health, and streamline regulatory reporting. Oversee risk & financial reporting: Maintain precise transaction logs, prepare daily/monthly financial reports, track fund performance metrics, and build intelligent alerting systems across the Centrifuge V3 architecture. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work alongside the Operations, Product, and Engineering teams.

You will translate the nuanced needs of asset managers into clear feedback and requirements that improve the Centrifuge platform. What we're looking for: TradFi Foundation: 2–4+ years of core experience in traditional fund operations, accounting, or financial analysis, giving you the context needed to manage valuations, accruals, and investor reporting. DeFi Fluency: Hands‐on experience navigating onchain transactions, decentralized liquidity pools, and cross‐chain bridges.

You understand how capital moves across the ecosystem and settles natively. AI & Automation Readiness: Strong proficiency in data manipulation (Excel, SQL) combined with basic Python skills—or a demonstrated ability to leverage LLMs and AI agents to parse financial data and automate workflows. Unmatched Precision: Exceptional attention to detail when validating accounting packages, tracking onchain events, auditing transaction logs, and interacting directly with smart contracts.

Cross‐Functional Communication: The ability to translate nuanced operational workflows into clear requirements, supporting the refinement of our internal tools. You are: High Agency: Comfortable operating at the forefront of what we do. You figure things out autonomously and thrive when defining new concepts as we scale.

Energized by bridging traditional finance with decentralized infrastructure. Curious and creative, with a drive to experiment with AI agents and programmatic tooling. Reliable and precise: You set clear expectations, maintain high integrity with financial data, and document processes well.

Collaborative: Comfortable keeping cross‐functional stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Asset Management) informed and aligned. We are: A fully distributed team across 5+ time zones, committed to transparency, autonomy, and freedom in the workplace. A team operating at ultra‐high speed, shipping daily on a tight calendar.

Market leaders driving not just our product, but also the broader RWA category. Obsessed with clarity, high‐quality output, and speed. Builders who balance precision with creativity, and always keep pushing forward.

Fun and flexible: we take the work seriously, but not ourselves, and we celebrate wins together. Why join Centrifuge: Impact: Be part of the pioneers of composable finance, integrating institutional‐grade RWAs directly into DeFi ecosystems. Ownership: Take autonomous control of critical fund flows early in your tenure, building the operational backbone of a next‐gen asset manager.

Momentum: $1B+ in assets already live on Centrifuge, with top‐tier partners and rapid ecosystem growth. Growth: Develop operational infrastructure by actively deploying programmatic tooling to solve complex reconciliation challenges at scale. Culture: Work closely with a fast‐moving, detail‐oriented team that values clarity, precision, and bold ideas.

If you are excited about this role but your experience doesn't align perfectly with every single requirement, we still strongly encourage you to apply. Please note that compensation is competitive and will be carefully determined within our established salary ranges based on your geographic location. #J-18808-Ljbffr
