POSITION IS IN SIOUX FALLS, SD! Are you looking to relocate?

Jarrod Smart Construction, Co. is a residential custom home builder and remodeler working in the Sioux Falls an area. We are currently looking to fill positions in both frames and finish carpentry. We are looking for a person who is detail oriented, a self-starter, has a good attitude, and is able to work independently and on a team. We are looking for individuals of all skill levels. Experience is not required as we are willing to train the right person. We offer a good work environment with room to grow, competitive pay, and 401K! Essential Job Functions:

  1. Follow established safety policies, rules and regulations. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Promptly report any problems, damage, hazards and oversights to appropriate personnel.
  2. Perform tasks on all areas and aspects of construction projects as delegated. Tasks may include but not be limited to the following: site excavation or demolition, framing, trimming, assembling, measuring, cutting, and/or leveling. Tasks may also include the construction or assembly of foundations, floors, roofs, walls, ceilings, cabinets, doors, and hardware.
  3. Maintain thorough knowledge of construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.
  4. Operate hand tools, power tools and equipment.
  5. Able to read and understand plans, diagrams and written instructions. Must utilize mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to complete job requirements.
  6. Organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help.
  7. Maintain a high level of customer service and a friendly atmosphere. Maintain a team environment within the organization. Interact effectively with trade contractors.
  8. Accurately complete paperwork required for timekeeping, expenses and project details in a timely manner.
  9. Promote Jarrod Smart Construction, Co. and hold the company’s best interests in mind at all times.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Status/Hours: Full Time Employee. A typical work week will average 45-50 hours per week Monday through Friday. Work schedule may vary to include early morning, evening and weekend work in order to meet project time constraints.

Location: Approximately ninety-five percent of the time will be spent at construction sites. Some time may be spent at the Jarrod Smart Construction, Co. shop or office.
