Job description

Launch Your Project Management Career in Healthcare Construction.

At L2 Construction, we don't just renovate healthcare facilities—we improve the spaces where patient care happens every day. From hospitals and surgical centers to medical office buildings, our work requires precision, collaboration, and attention to detail because construction doesn't stop when patients are receiving care.

We're looking for an organized, motivated Assistant Project Manager who is ready to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in construction management. If you enjoy solving problems, staying organized, working with people, and seeing projects come to life, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

This isn't just another APM position—it's a chance to develop alongside experienced Project Managers while gaining exposure to every phase of a project, from preconstruction through closeout.

What You'll DoHelp Deliver Exceptional Projects
  • Support Project Managers through every phase of construction, from bidding and preconstruction to project closeout.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, permits, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Track project commitments, budgets, material lead times, and critical milestones to keep projects moving.
Keep Projects Organized
  • Manage project documentation in Procore, SharePoint, and other construction management platforms.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare project reports, and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Ensure subcontractors have the contracts, insurance, permits, and documentation required before beginning work.
Learn the Business
  • Gain hands-on experience with estimating, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and project financials.
  • Learn the unique requirements of occupied healthcare construction, including ICRA, ILSM, infection prevention, and life safety.
  • Participate in project reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build Your Career
  • Work alongside experienced Project Managers who are invested in your development.
  • Receive mentorship, coaching, and opportunities to take on increasing responsibility.
  • Follow a clearly defined career path toward becoming a Project Manager.
What We're Looking For
  • Approximately 4 years of construction experience through field experience, education, or a combination of both.
  • Healthcare construction experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
Why L2 Construction?

At L2, we believe great Project Managers are developed—not simply hired. That's why we invest in mentorship, leadership development, and creating opportunities for our people to grow professionally. You'll work on technically challenging healthcare projects alongside experienced professionals who genuinely enjoy teaching, collaborating, and helping others succeed.

If you're looking for a company where you can learn, contribute, and build a meaningful career—not just another job—you'll fit right in.
