Job description

Our client, an industrial safety compliance company, is looking for a Controller/Front Office Manager for their small but established company in Farmington Hills!  The primary function of the role will be managing all the accounting functions and have two people reporting to them.  This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in Quickbooks (preferably a Quickbook Expert Pro) and has worked in a small consulting related organization.  Since this is a small company, the 'front office' management will fall to you, but it's really more minimal than extensive.  

The right candidate will have:

  • STRONG experience in Quickbooks, preferably Quickbooks Expert Pro level
  • Managed AP, AR, payroll and tax payments
  • 941 reconciliations, bank reconciliations and other standard accounting functions
  • Maintain personnel files and other HR related tasks
  • Strong banking, company credit card reconciliation and report creation for weekly meetings with owner
  • Ability to work independently, proactive personality, take ownership in work, strong attention to detail, mindful of working in a small office, directly for the owner.

This is a full time, in office role, with a full benefit package including medical, PTO, profit sharing, 401k and more.  Our client is a small company, but established and continuing to grow.  They are looking for someone who is interested in a long term opportunity where you can contribute to that growth.  Compensation is $75 -  $85k, plus the aforementioned benefit package.
