Responsibilities
  • Inspect, service, and repair a wide variety of construction rental equipment to correct working order. Repairs may be done in the shop or in the field. When in the field repairs are required, a company service truck will be provided and used.
  • Perform rental check-ins, safety checks, and inspections as per company guidelines assuring equipment is Rent Ready
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drive components, and typical mechanical failures.
  • Exhibit positive and effective interaction with customers, fellow employees, management and equipment manufacturers.
  • Uphold safety practices and standards
  • Maintain accurate records as it relates to repair orders, parts ordering, and time keeping.
  • Must be both efficient and thorough with all repairs and rental check-in.
  • Maintain a clean work area and keep tools in proper working condition.
  • Maintain and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Complete and submit all paperwork required by shop management in the requested timeframes.
Qualifications
  • High-school diploma or GED is required
  • Experience as a rental equipment mechanic or a similar role in the repair industry is desired.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of Construction Rental Equipment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.)
  • Able to lift 30 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 80 pounds independently or with assistance.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
