Description
ADMAR Supply Company is seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team at our Rochester, NY location. As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engines and equipment used in construction, landscaping, and related industries. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment and contribute to the success of our customers' projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspect small engines and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on small engines, including but not limited to, lawn mowers, chainsaws, generators, compactors, and light construction equipment.
  • Disassemble engines and components, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
  • Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues regarding repair options, estimated completion times, and equipment status.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workshop environment.

Requirements:
  • Experience as a small engine mechanic or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of small engine mechanics, including two-stroke and four-stroke engines.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
