Job description

Job Summary:
Barton & Gray (B&G) is hiring a Dock Hand for the Summer 2026 Season. This part-time, seasonal position will work directly with the B&G's captain team to support the day to day needs of the port including vessel cleaning and coordination of onboard provisions. This position will work with multiple departments within B&G to facilitate the port running smoothly and ensure a high quality member experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist captains with removing mooring covers.
  • Assist captains with the turnover and cleaning of boats in between watches.
  • Prepare boats for scheduled outings.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the yachts: wash, polish chrome, clean teak floors, clean engine compartments, replace oil sorbs as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have reliable transportation for use during work day, eligible for mileage reimbursement.
  • Evening, weekend and holiday availability required.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently.
  • Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling
  • Ability to lift 25+ pounds.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
