Job Responsibilities

The Small Engine Technician plays a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing a variety of outdoor small engine products, including chainsaws, snowblowers, lawnmowers, UTVs, and ATVs. Providing outstanding customer service is a key aspect of this position.

  • Diagnose and repair outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, and other mechanical devices.
  • Deliver exceptional service and create a positive shopping experience by assisting customers with loading and unloading products, finding parts, and addressing repair inquiries.
  • Diagnose, assemble, and repair all small engine and outdoor power equipment available at our stores.
  • Document repairs on work orders, monitor units in the shop, and complete and file work orders accurately.
  • Assist with warranty claims and ensure timely filing.
  • Communicate with customers regarding the completion dates of their repairs.
  • Participate in training sessions and seminars for repair technicians.
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be available to work evenings as needed and at least every other weekend.
  • Have prior experience in small engine and/or automotive maintenance.
  • Possess previous customer service experience.
  • Have a background in retail.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills.
