Job description

The Mountain Vehicle Small Engine Specialist will diagnose, service and repair snowcats, snowmobiles, small engines, side-by-sides, 4-wheelers, snow blowers and other equipment and machinery as needed. This position is active full-time while working a 4/10 work schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities:   

  • Always maintain a safe and clean environment in the shop
  • Repair and maintain diesel and gas engines
  • Work as part of a team; assist other employees in diagnosis and repairs
  • Preventative maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, computer and electrical systems on vehicles and equipment
  • Move equipment safely in and out of the service building
  • Complete work orders & daily paperwork as required
  • Maintenance and repair of snowcats and other equipment and machinery as needed
  • Assist with operator training on equipment including “Pre-op inspections” and safety guidelines
  • Work with suppliers source parts and allocate to expense budgets with the help of the Parts Room Assistant
  • Other duties assigned

 Qualifications:    

  • Experience with diagnosing and repairing electrical and computer systems on modern vehicles
  • Experience with the diagnosis and repair of major mechanical systems on modern vehicles
  • Experience with diagnosis and repair of snowmobile sleds, specifically ski-doos
  • Ability to drive ATVs, snowmobiles, snow cats and trucks for equipment recoveries and on-hill repairs
  • Welding experience preferred
  • A current U.S. driver's license is required

  • A current CDL license is preferred
  • Have essential tools and a toolbox
  • Engage in physical activities like walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
  • Can safely lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
