Job description

Responsibilities:
-Responsible for maintenance and repair of small engines
-Operates all equipment used, and be available to use this equipment when needed.
-Performs preventive maintenance work, such as checking oil and fluid levels
-Maintains inventory records on repairs made, parts ordered, and parts inventory.
-Accurately inspect, test and diagnose malfunctions
-Give prompt, accurate estimate and expedite priority jobs
-Ensure repairs are safe and within manufacture guidelines, encourage repairs that follow manufacturer's schedules of maintenance
-Maintain accurate, organized and thorough records
-Maintain clean, safe, neat and productive work area
-Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:
- High school diploma and two years’ work experience in mechanical operation, repair and maintenance of small engine equipment or similar field experience
- Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds above shoulders without assistance
- Working knowledge of safety practices and procedures while making mechanical repairs; knowledge of various machines; working knowledge of maintenance and repair
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with accuracy and speed, ability to create effective working relationships with employees; verbal/written communication
- Familiarity with chain and blade sharpening
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and testing skills
- Facilitate standing, stooping, bending and kneeling for prolonged periods of time
