Delivering Since 2020. CMC Ready-Mix is the sister company to CMC Rock which has been producing various construction aggregates in Utah since 2006. Starting with ten mixer trucks in 2020, we’ve expanded operations to over 40 trucks in just 3 years. CMC Ready Mix is looking to hire a field mechanic to service Northern Utah and South Salt Lake counties. The primary base of operations is our Saratoga Springs Pelican Point plant.



This position is pay ranage is DOE.

Job Description:

- Performs diesel and gasoline engine repairs and maintenance

- Diagnoses and performs power train component repairs and maintenance

- Troubleshoots and performs hydraulic system repairs and maintenance

- Diagnoses and repairs truck air brake systems problems

- Repairs suspension and steering systems

- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems

- Makes minor repairs including welding and cutting

- Must have knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and safety orders, including safety precautions on raised truck beds brakes, mixer lockouts, etc.

- Operates individually and within a team environment

- Works multiple shifts as needed

- Performs other job-related duties as needed

- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions

- Able to work on Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freight Liner, Oshkosh, and Terex

Requirements:

Required Experience:

- Must have at least 2 years of disel mechanic experience

- Must have their own tools

- Prefer high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

- Commercial driver’s license preferred but not required

- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean MVR

- Must be able to write legibly to complete orders and other required paperwork

- Must be able to read and comprehend maintenance manuals

- Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment

- This position will work the various shifts as needed. Overtime and working alternating Saturdays as needed

- Experience with welding is preferred

- Experience with hydraulics and electrical is preferred but not required

- Must be able to work outdoors

- Physical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder level, work extended periods of time in same position, perform duties in all climates i.i weather, extreme temperatures, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 75 lbs., work in confined spaces, capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment
