Role Description This part-time remote Structural Engineer role focuses on the structural design and analysis of telecommunication and underground vault infrastructure, including poles, towers, and related components. The Structural Engineer will perform detailed calculations, develop and review structural models, and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing design documents and drawings, collaborating with design, fabrication, and project management teams, and providing technical guidance on material selection and connection details. The role also involves reviewing existing designs for optimization, supporting quality assurance efforts, and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering for the design of steel, aluminum, and concrete infrastructure.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Structural Analysis and Calculations to evaluate loads, stresses, and overall structural performance.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), SOLIDWORX tools to create and modify structural drawings and models. Candidate must understand fabrication and fabrication drawings.
