RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Safely operate the Bar Shear (Slugger) to process carbon steel bar. 
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications. 
  • Address quality issues in a timely fashion as they arise to ensure they are resolved.
  • Responsible for ensuring all materials are readily available to ensure production efficiency.
  • Operates equipment within general work instructions.
  • Maintains production related records. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting and operating industrial equipment.
  • An understanding of fabrication component parts.
  • Ability to read blueprints and read and understand a digital length gauge, calipers, mics.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Understand how to use and apply a tape measure adequately. 
  • Shift work may be required.
