Position SummaryWe’re seeking a Full-Time Home Health Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing therapy team in the Wichita area. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide individualized therapy services that support patients with communication, speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing needs in the home health setting.
Key Responsibilities• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Provide speech and language therapy services to patients in their homes
• Assist patients in improving communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills as directed by the SLP
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress and condition changes in a timely manner
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, home exercises, and communication strategies
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach during all visits
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program (required)
• Active Kansas SLPA license/certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of SLPA experience preferred
• Previous pediatric or adult therapy experience preferred
• Home health experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and compassionate
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
