We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an exciting school-based opportunity with Simi Valley Unified School District. This role offers the chance to work with elementary-aged students, helping them develop the communication skills needed to succeed both academically and socially.

? Average Caseload: Approximately 20-30 Students

? Current Caseload: Around 25 Students

?? Responsibilities

As a School-Based SLP, you will:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
  • Identify communication disorders and determine program eligibility
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and educational materials
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff
  • Participate in IEP meetings, screenings, parent conferences, and team meetings
  • Support students using communication technologies and assistive devices
  • Maintain required documentation, progress reports, and treatment records
  • Help students achieve communication goals that support academic success

? Qualifications
  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of assignment
  • CCC-SLP Preferred (and may be required by state or district)
  • Certificate of Clearance Required
  • Current CPR Certification (if applicable)
  • Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
  • TB Screening, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong commitment to professional standards and student success

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active  Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract. 
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
