Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to help children, especially high school students, reach their fullest communication potential. This part-time position is perfect for therapists who enjoy evidence-based practice, family collaboration, and creative intervention planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients.
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
Implement therapy techniques to improve communication skills and confidence.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to support patient care and educational goals. Provide early intervention services for children with speech and language delays.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes.
Educate families on strategies to support communication development at home.
Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
Virginia license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy related to speech and swallowing.
Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school or clinic settings.
Familiarity with intervention strategies for young teens.
