Job description

The Factory Finance Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling production costs and liquidation within the manufacturing facility. The role also includes controlling and tracking factory-related projects, ensuring financial discipline, cost transparency, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cost Monitoring & Analysis

  • Track and analyze manufacturing costs (raw materials, labor, overhead).
  • Calculating annual capacity and hourly rates
  • controlling and analysing the actual load and productivity vs plans
  • Identify cost variances between standard and actual costs.
  • Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

2. Budgeting & MTP Forecasting

  • Prepare and manage factory budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Support financial planning and cost optimization initiatives.

3. Factory Project & capex Controlling

  • Monitor and control financials of factory projects (including commercial projects, CAPEX, improvement initiatives, industrialization projects).
  • Track project budgets, actual costs, and forecasts, support regions' Quarterly Project Review
  • Perform variance analysis on project spending and timelines.
  • Ensure proper cost allocation and capitalization rules (CAPEX vs OPEX).
  • Support project managers with financial insights and business case validation.
  • Evaluate ROI, payback, and financial feasibility of investment projects.

4. Reporting

  • Produce regular cost, liquidation and project reports
  • Provide actionable insights to plant management and finance leadership.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.

5. Inventory Control

  • Monitor inventory levels and valuation (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).
  • Ensure accuracy of stock records and support physical inventory counts.
  • Analyze slow-moving or obsolete inventory.

6. Cost Control & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Controlling and monitoring efficiency and productivity for Rugby Factory (productive & non-productive hours etc.) vs plans
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive financial awareness across the production teams.

7. Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong internal controls over cost and project-related processes.
  • Support internal and external audits.

8. Collaboration

  • Work closely with operation teams
  • Provide financial support to operational decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in cost controlling and/or project controlling in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and CAPEX management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP CO, PS modules preferred).
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Strong business partnering and communication abilities.
