Summary: The Slot Technician I maintains and repairs all electronic slot equipment in a timely and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Adjust and repair slot machines, replacing worn or defective electrical or mechanical parts, using hand tools.
  2. Use of tech card.
  3. Assist in testing, bench-repairs, and evaluation of slot machine monitors.
  4. Maintain other casino electronic devices.
  5. Conduct general maintenance and service on all machines and equipment.
  6. Assist in examine defective machines to diagnose causes of malfunctions.
  7. Conduct daily inspections of machines and equipment.
  8. Participate in the programming or repair of progressive gaming and other electronic displays.
  1. Display a positive attitude towards guests and co-workers.
  2. Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
  3. Responsible for clocking in and out on time according to work schedule.
  4. Maintain and understand compliance with IRGC, federal, state, and local regulations.
  5. Perform all job functions safely and responsibly.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. All Employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED certification required.

Previous casino slot technician experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Gaming License.

SKILLS

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer experience skills.
