Job description

Sr. Slot Technician
POSITION PURPOSE:
Oversees and provides leadership direction of daily preventative maintenance programs to ensure maximum performance and condition of all slot machines. Position also entails project involvement with slot machine installations, moves, and modifications. Provide fast and friendly service to customers at all times.
Oversees Slot Technicians and Reports to the Slot Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Ensure maximum performance and reduce machine downtime through preventative maintenance.
  2. Minor repairs of machines may be required during the preventative maintenance service time.
  3. Additional functions include involvement in daily moves and modifications projects to continue to build knowledge base and experience levels.
  4. Maintaining Slot Machine Database and ensuring proper paperwork is completed and filed in accordance with internal control standards.
  5. Assigns and ensures the completion of daily work assignments and tasks, including customer notifications and preventive maintenance cycles.
  6. Interacts and communicates with other departments to ensure a positive experience.
  7. Proper inventory control of slot machine parts and supplies

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITY:
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of three to five years' experience on slot machines and associated equipment. Formal training required. Advanced knowledge of electronics to include working operation of test equipment to repair video monitors; Troubleshooting and repair circuit boards used in slot equipment. Must be proficient in Excel and Windows. Must have a minimum of three years' experience as a slot technician or equivalent training and education.
  3. Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure/networking and the applications of Cat 5, Cat 6, Cat 6e and fiber optic cabling
  4. Ability to analyze a variety of computer system reports and offer recommendations to maximize revenue opportunities.
  5. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
  6. Must be able to understand and comply with all MIC'S AND IC'S standards.
  7. Minimum of 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
  8. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings. Must be able to be mobile throughout the casino.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions involve walking in all gaming areas. Work may require weekend and evening work. Must work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases. Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels.
