About the Role

ATP North America LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Slitting Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain slitting line equipment to ensure high-quality output. This position is essential to meeting production targets while maintaining strong safety, quality, and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Monitoring

  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications.
  • Monitor process variables to ensure all products meet required performance and quality standards.
  • Load raw materials and unload finished goods according to bill of materials and product specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production records and equipment logs.
  • Meet daily output goals by adhering to production schedules.
  • Participate in operator-led preventive maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct in-line quality checks using approved measuring devices.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed to resolve quality concerns and maintain efficiency.
  • Report any equipment or measuring device malfunctions that may affect product quality.

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Collaborate with the Slitting Manager to improve product settings, boost efficiency, and reduce scrap.
  • Support team members and serve as machine lead when required.
  • Train Slitting Helpers to ensure proper workflow and safety compliance.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping guidelines.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area with clear walkways and properly stored materials.
Requirements:

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Professional / Related Experience

**** Must Have Slitting Experience ****
  • 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a machine operator or helper.
  • 2–4 years of specific machine operator experience.
  • Preferred: Experience working within the PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) or tape industry.

Skills & Physical Requirements

  • Basic reading and math comprehension.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 12-hour shifts.
