Job Description

Shift: A Shift - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Rotating Shift Schedule
Pay Rate: $25.90

ROLE PURPOSE:
Perform a wide variety of duties that involve operating a solvent less laminator and slitting machine, in addition to providing assistance with set ups of a flexographic printing press when no work is scheduled in lamination and or slitting.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•    Utilize existing ISO work instructions and procedures required for laminating, slitting, and shipping product directly to our customers. Make or assist in proper sequential setup of ink, adhesive, printing impression, adhesive roll application, tension, nip, unwind, rewind rolls or cylinders and related drying, ink and adhesive feed, and other work arrangements required for the operation of a press, laminator and slitter and their respective controls.

•    Operate equipment in a safe manner adhering to practices that are deemed compliant by APS standards such as not operating equipment with guards open. Monitor operation and make various checks and adjustments to maintain quality standards and production requirements.

•    Record time, production, or other required information on proper forms. Detect and report defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to appropriate supervision. Maintain equipment and supply storage area in a clean and orderly condition. Observe all prescribed AIB and standard safety rules and regulations.

•    Demonstrate ability to run each machine (press, laminator, slitter) with good efficiency, and the ability to run jobs at maximum speeds while maintaining good quality.

•    Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of flexographic press operations, laminator operations, slitter operations, shipment operations and related equipment and minor maintenance
  • 1 to 2 years specialized printing and lamination trade training
  • Computer proficiency
