Job description

We are looking for a Slitter Operator to join our team at Lakeside Book Company. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help print and move finished product out the door and into the hands of readers across the country. Previous machine operating experience is preferred but we will provide you with all the training you need to be successful. Advancement opportunities are available!
 

Starting Rate: $19.15
Hours: Day Shift, A Crew, 6am-6pm

Location: 2347 Kratzer Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22802 and 1025 Willow Springs Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22801

As a Slitter Operator in the bindery support area, you will:

  • Operate and oversee the production of the machinery
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
  • Monitor quality, throughput, and productivity
  • Process departmental paperwork
  • Receive training to help advance your career

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or sit for the entire duration of your shift
  • Preference given to candidates with 1+ years of experience operating machines
