Job description

About the Role:
7-Eleven in Virginia Beach, VA is looking for a hands-on General Helper with Handyman Skills to keep our store running smoothly and looking its best. If you love fixing things, staying busy, and taking pride in your work, this is the perfect opportunity for you to join a globally recognized brand with a local feel.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance and minor repairs throughout the store and surrounding property
  • Assist with light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of interior and exterior store areas
  • Assemble fixtures, shelving, and equipment as directed
  • Identify and report maintenance issues to store management promptly
  • Support store staff with general labor tasks including stocking, moving inventory, and setup
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored
Requirements:
  • Prior handyman, general maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repair techniques
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take direction from store management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
