Sleep Tech Opportunity

Job Title: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist

Profession: Healthcare

Specialty: Sleep

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12H Nights

Hours per Shift: 12

Experience: 3 years

License: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)

Certifications: BLS (AHA)

Must-Have: Ability to perform polysomnography and maintain clinical and operational aspects of the client

Client Description: The technologist will perform polysomnography and stage records. Routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment is required. Related clerical work and documentation to maintain clinical and operational aspects must be completed. Evaluations of patients for sleep-related breathing disorders and other sleep abnormalities, including seizure disorders and narcolepsy, are essential. Equipment utilized includes computerized charting and medication systems. The shift will be from 7 PM to 7 AM with work performed alone. There is no on-call requirement associated with this position. The work setting consists of 28 beds with a nursing ratio. Black scrubs are the required dress code. No floating to other departments is needed. Training includes one day of hospital orientation and two nights of shadowing staff. Scoring abilities are favorable, but not a necessity. The department will be transitioning to a new electronic system by the end of July. Cancellation policy allows for adjustments up to 24 hours before the assignment.
