Job description

Main Line Fertility is seeking a PART TIME REGISTERED NURSE with recent Pre-Op/OR/PACU experience. This is a team centered environment that requires someone who can work collaboratively. Our physicians are experts in the field of reproductive endocrinology. Together with a dedicated team of nurses, lab professionals and administrative staff, they provide compassionate, one-on-one care that is personalized for every patient. We offer a full complement of services for reproductive health from male and female infertility and perform IVF and GYN related procedures. Main Line Fertility Center serves Bryn Mawr, Philadelphia and surrounding communities. 
 
HOURS: Monday, Wednesday and Friday and every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday usually from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekdays following a worked weekend will be and Tues and Thursday.   Holiday rotation will be required.
 
Essential Responsibilities include:
 
  • Facilitates effective and efficient transition from OR and PACU to release
  • Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in moving patients, stretchers, and OR tables to prevent injury to patient and self.
  • Ability to monitor patient as anesthesia wears off and evaluate patient
  • Properly communicates any post-op care instructions to patient
  • Demonstrates knowledge of patient management, including: being available from anesthesia during intubation and extubation, assisting as needed in sudden changes in patient condition, and being readily available to assist as directed.
  • Prepares and administers medications as needed
  • IV skills preferred

Education and Experience:

  • HS diploma or GED, required
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in PA
  • Recent Pre-Op/OR/PACU experience REQUIRED
  • current BLS and ACLS required
  • IV Skills preferred
