To thrive as a Sleep Expert, you need in-depth knowledge of sleep science, sleep disorders, and treatment protocols, usually supported by a degree in sleep technology, psychology, or a related health field. Familiarity with polysomnography equipment, sleep study software, and relevant certifications such as Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) are typically required. These competencies ensure accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and improved patient outcomes in sleep health.
