Responsabilities:
ย -Setup new production test areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment setup, etc.
ยท Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles
ยท TIG welding according to engineering models, drawings, specifications and written procedures
ยท Brazing according to ASME IX III
ยท Interface with production leads, supervisors, manager and QA inspection to ensure timely customer delivery
ยท Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
ยท Setup and operate precision calibrated tools including but limited to, TIG welding machine, brazing setup, gas tanks, lines, regulators, digital and mechanical gauges, instruments etc.
ยท Diagnose non-functional welded assemblies independently
ยท Calibrate and test DPU assemblies per engineering procedure independently
ยท Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
ยท Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 6S and Lean initiatives
ยท Learn quickly from mistakes, absorb knowledge from mentors, take ownership, cross-train others and deliver results
ยท Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to achieving organizational success
Qualifications:
ยท High School diploma or GED
ยท D17.1 and D14.1 certifications
ยท Experience with mechanical assembly and gauge calibration
ยท 3-5 years direct experience in industrial manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field
ยท Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
ยท Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
ยท Basic mathematics skills
ยท Hand dexterity required to assemble small mechanical or electrical components
ยท Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
ยท Strong verbal and written communication skills
ยท Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas
ยท Ability to lift heavy items up to 44 lbs. if needed
ยท Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
ยท Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
ยท Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field
ยท Experienced in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
ยท Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Schedule
ยท 05:00 โ 13:30 with overtime and weekend hours as needed
