Job Title

Director, Admissions Strategy & Operations

Position Overview

The Director, Admissions Strategy and Operations will manage the Admissions Office’s CRM (Technolutions Slate), foster data‑driven decision making, develop statistical reports throughout the admissions funnel, and support strategic initiatives to achieve enrollment goals. The role will supervise admissions operations staff, ensure data integrity, oversee the admissions decision process for all academic programs, and maintain compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and strategic direction for the Admissions Operations team, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and evaluations.
  • Oversee daily admissions operations: application processing, document management, data entry, file completion, and preparation of applicant records for review.
  • Maintain knowledge of university systems and platforms (Technolutions Slate, Banner SIS, Argos, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, state regulations, accreditation standards, and federal guidelines in the admissions decision process.
  • Maintain data integrity and accuracy within admissions systems through quality assurance, auditing procedures, error management, and corrective action coordination.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Management leadership to develop and implement admissions policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Co‑lead the management, enhancement, and strategic utilization of the Technolutions Slate CRM: implementation, maintenance, testing, and user training.
  • Operationalize data‑informed enrollment strategies using CRM technology and analytics.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and prepare reports on inquiries, applications, admissions decisions, enrollment trends, and funnel performance.
  • Disseminate regular reports on operational effectiveness, application processing timelines, and admissions outcomes.
  • Partner with the Director of Enrollment Systems/Slate and stakeholders to identify and implement technology solutions that improve workflow management and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with campus partners (academics, IT Services, Institutional Research, etc.) to support enrollment objectives.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of communication plans for prospective students, applicants, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to admissions counselors and campus partners regarding processes, policies, and system functionality.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for university leadership and enrollment management committees.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least ten years of related experience in Admissions, including supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with Technolutions Slate CRM and Banner SIS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics, predictive modeling, and funnel reporting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced leadership, personnel management, and supervisory principles.
  • Expertise in Technolutions Slate CRM functionality, architecture, and query building.
  • Proficiency in Banner SIS data entry, structures, and integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in standard business software (word processing, complex spreadsheets, databases).
  • Understanding of higher education regulatory environments and operational functions.
  • Strategic recruitment, enrollment funnel dynamics, and marketing principles.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex operational data and enrollment trends clearly to executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in tracking, auditing, and processing student types throughout the admissions lifecycle.
  • Experience in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting on diverse and complex administrative data sets.

  • Willingness to work beyond normal office hours and on weekends during peak admissions cycles and recruitment events.
