Position Summary:
The qualified candidate will perform duties and responsibilities necessary to support the area to which they are assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be organized, thorough, industrious. Must be able to take initiative in order to problem solve. Must have knowledge of school procedures.
  • Must have advanced computer office software experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite programs. Knowledge of PowerSchool, Skyward, and other district software a plus.
  • Must have the ability to operate office equipment, perform data entry, maintain records and scheduling.
  • Must demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact constructively with others.
  • Student-centered with strong communication, correspondence and customer service skills for work with students, staff, community and parents.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.
  • Model civil demeanor when working with staff, students, families, and community members.
  • Must be detail oriented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not all Inclusive)
  • Process background checks (BCI reports & database search)
  • Process and maintain Verifent, including EHR and Verification of Employment or Income requests
  • Enter and maintain accurate transcript data in Skyward
  • Process and maintain accurate employment data entry for DHS
  • Maintain and issue employee IDs
  • Maintain and distribute district-wide directories
  • Reconcile BCI vendor invoices
  • Sort and distribute USPS mail and other parcel deliveries
  • Order supplies for the District Office
  • Assist with the temporary assignment of parking spaces and no parking notices
  • Assist with posting of District 87 Employment Opportunities
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
  • Ability to write professional communications
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to complete and apply basic mathematics concepts
  • Ability to respond to questions from individuals and groups

  • Familiarity with testing administration (for instructional positions)

  • Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.
