Position Summary:
This is Hourly Data Analyst position for a graduate or upper-level undergraduate student with an interest in STEAM education research. This position is ideal for candidates with an interest in developing research skills and those intending to apply to research-based graduate programs.
Essential Functions:
-The Hourly Data Analyst will aid in the collection, organization, and analysis of data from workshops and public hybrid events using the Skyscraper Games creative computing platform and Cira Center Fortnite digital twin as well as other research tasks, including work with our Youth Advisory Group.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting, learn new toolsets and workflows, and engage with academic literature.
- Experience with collecting data from digital games/platforms is a plus.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate/range for this position is $20.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
