Job description

Skyline Products Production Team Lead Compensation:
First shift 7:30am to 4:00pm $25-$30 an hour
The Production Team Lead oversees and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products. As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills must be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals. The team leader will also have experience with inventory management and control.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs.
  • Ensure supplied materials flow to process to avoid stock-out/shortages/line stoppage/waiting
  • Create and maintain a sense of urgency.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
  • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Interfaces with supervisor and others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Monitors employee productivity.
  • Ensures all PPE is in use.
  • Perform minor maintenance of equipment.
  • Communicate in-process defects up/downstream
Qualifications:
  • One to two years related experience as a Team Lead in an industrial manufacturing environment.
