Job description

About the Opportunity:

We're a commercial insurance agency with 96 years of growth, longevity, and a reputation built on integrity — and we're looking for our next Commercial Insurance Producer to grow with us.

This is sales, but not the sales you're picturing. You're not convincing someone to buy something they don't need — you're helping business owners get better protection, better value, and better service on coverage they're already required to carry. The trust is already there; your job is to earn it and keep it.

If you have a sales background, a competitive drive, and you're looking for a long-term career (not a stopgap job), we want to talk to you. This role can be genuinely lucrative, and we invest heavily in getting you there: paid training, licensure support, ongoing development, and a deep bench of benefits.

Interested? Skip the "easy apply" black hole. Call our agency and ask for Mark to introduce yourself. We'd rather hear your voice than read your resume first — and if cold-calling a business feels intimidating, this is a good early test of the job itself.

Why Join Us

96 years in business — proven stability and a trusted name in the community

Paid training and licensure support from day one

Uncapped earning potential with a lucrative commission structure

Real career path, not just a sales job

Strong benefits package

A culture built on integrity, longevity, and doing right by clients

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

Prospect and cold-call business owners to introduce our agency and identify their commercial insurance needs

Build and manage a pipeline of prospective commercial accounts from first call through closed sale

Conduct needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage (property, casualty, liability, workers' comp, and more)

Prepare and present proposals and quotes to business owners and decision-makers

Develop long-term relationships with clients, becoming their trusted advisor for risk management

Cross-sell and upsell additional lines of coverage as client businesses grow and change

Stay current on market conditions, carrier appetite, and industry/regulatory changes

Collaborate with account managers and underwriters to ensure smooth onboarding and service

  1. Meet and exceed new business production goals.
Requirements

Prior sales experience required; insurance industry experience is a plus but not mandatory — we'll train the right person.

A hunter's mentality: comfortable making outbound calls and generating your own business

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated, coachable, and career-minded — you're looking to build something, not just clock in

Active Property Casualty license preferred, or willingness to obtain one (we'll help you get there)

Resilience and a positive attitude — prospecting means hearing "no" and staying in the game
