Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a licensed and enthusiastic Esthetician Instructor to join our professional education team and inspire the next generation of skincare professionals. The ideal candidate will hold an active TDLR Esthetician Instructor License and have a passion for both skincare and education. This position involves delivering instruction in compliance with the Texas Administrative Code, Title 16, Part 4, Chapter 83 (Cosmetology Rules) as enforced by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

  • Provide instruction in both theoretical and practical esthetics in accordance with TDLR’s prescribed curriculum, including but not limited to:
    • Sanitation and disinfection procedures (in compliance with 16 TAC §83.100–§83.102)
    • Facial treatments, hair removal, and makeup application
    • Client consultation and professional ethics
  • Follow the TDLR-required 750-hour esthetician course outline, ensuring that all subject hours are taught as mandated.
  • Integrate TDLR safety and sanitation standards into daily classroom and lab procedures.

Classroom & Lab Management

  • Maintain classroom and student clinic areas in a clean, safe, and TDLR-compliant condition.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are used in accordance with TDLR rules (e.g., autoclave usage, single-use item disposal).
  • Conduct daily safety and compliance inspections in line with TDLR Rule §83.71 and §83.114.

Student Support & Evaluation

  • Monitor and document student attendance, performance, and completion rates in accordance with TDLR standards and school policies.
  • Administer and grade exams, practicals, and mock state board exams aligned with TDLR-approved standards.
  • Provide constructive feedback and professional mentorship to support student success.

Administrative Compliance

  • Maintain complete and accurate student records in accordance with TDLR Rule §83.72 (Records and Reporting Requirements).
  • Attend required school meetings and professional development training.
  • Remain current with TDLR rules and participate in continuing education to maintain license and instructional proficiency.
