About this Role
Theย Skilled Laborer performs a variety of field construction and maintenance tasks under the supervision of higher-level employees.ย Work involvesย assistingย crews with general labor, equipment operation, job site preparation, and supporting extra workloads, absences, and vacations, as well as unusual changes in the production area or weather conditions. The position is primarily outdoors and requires clothingย appropriate forย changing seasons and weather conditions.ย Travelingย out of town to work on remote job sites may beย requiredย as directed by management. Skilled Laborers are classified into three levels-Skilled Laborer I, II, and III-based on experience, skillย proficiency, and ability to work independently.ย

What You'll Do
- Skilled Laborer I - Entry Level:ย Entry-level; on-the-job training provided by department trainer.ย
- Skilled Laborer II - Intermediate Level: Minimum ofย 2,000 hoursย meeting or exceeding all Skilled Laborer I (Laborer I) requirements.ย
- Skilled Laborer III - Advanced Level:ย Minimum ofย 3,000 hoursย meeting or exceeding all Skilled Laborer II (Laborer II) requirements.ย
Education:ย ย
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.ย
Certifications:ย
- OSHA 10 safety trainingย required:ย
- For Skilled Laborer I and II: Must complete OSHA 10 withinย 30 daysย of hire if not already held.ย
- For Skilled Laborer III: Must have completed OSHA 10 safety training prior to or at promotion to this level.ย
- Driver's License: Valid state driver's licenseย required.ย
Working Conditionsย
- Outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust.ย
- Work is performed at various construction and maintenance sites, including remote locations.ย
- Frequent travel to remote sites and occasional overtime or weekend work.ย
- Mustย always wear company-required PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, a high-visibility vest, and steel-toed boots. Additional PPE (hearing protection, respiratory gear, etc.) may be required depending on the task or job site conditions.ย

Physical Requirements:ย
- Prolonged standing and walking.ย
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads.ย
- Manual dexterity to operate a variety of hand and power tools.ย
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical jobsite noise, dust, and odors.ย
- Physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete tasks in various field environments.ย
