Powder House Ski Shop - Alta, UT and Holladay, UT ( we have 3 locations at Alta, and 1 in Holladay)Compensation: TBD Schedule: Full-Time (4 days/week, 10-hour shifts, 8:00am-6:00pm) Seasonal Position: December through April About the RolePowder House Ski Shop is seeking a Demo Shop & Retail Manager to oversee operations at our main location in Alta. This leadership role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining safety and liability standards for demo ski setups, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in both the rental and retail areas. You'll be the go-to person on shift for customer concerns, equipment questions, and team support.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support rental and retail staff throughout the day Oversee all demo ski setups and ensure proper DIN settings and liability procedures are followed Act as the on-site lead for any liability, safety, or customer service concerns Train new staff and uphold shop protocols and service standards Assist with boot fittings, ski setups, and retail sales Maintain organization, cleanliness, and inventory levels in the shop Communicate regularly with upper management regarding shop performance and staffing needsQualificationsFull-time availability required (4 days/week, 10-hour shifts including weekends and holidays) Prior experience in ski rentals, demos, or retail preferred Strong understanding of binding liability practices or willingness to complete training Comfortable leading a team and making on-the-spot decisions Reliable, organized, and customer-service focused Must have reliable transportation to Alta, if wanting to work up canyon
