Job description

Our Company
Medicine is evolving faster than ever, and so is the way clinicians learn. At Sketchy, we partner with institutions, health systems, and learners to expand access to high-quality clinical education that prepares clinicians for what's next.
Our mission is to help clinicians build the readiness and agility needed to deliver better decisions, stronger patient connections, and higher-quality care in a world shaped by AI and precision medicine.
We're reimagining how clinical reasoning, communication, and other core competencies are developed, empowering every learner to adapt, grow, and lead in the future of healthcare.
Position Summary
Sketchy is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to own content strategy and execution across organic search, AEO, social media, and editorial channels for both brands. This is a senior individual contributor role that combines strategic ownership with hands-on production. You will shape the direction and then carry out the work yourself.
In partnership with other team members, you will plan what each brand publishes, how it ranks, and how it gets discovered - whether by a medical student on Instagram, a program director on LinkedIn, or an AI answer engine summarizing the best clinical education resources. You will own the content calendar, drive SEO and AEO execution, manage social presence across platforms, and produce the content that builds audience and earns attention over time.
The role requires fluency across both a B2C audience (medical, PA, NP, and MCAT students) and a B2B audience (program directors, faculty, and curriculum coordinators at GME, UME, PA, NP, and nursing programs).
Sketchy is hiring remote employees in these select US states: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Washington!
Responsibilities
  • Own the integrated content strategy for both brands - connecting organic search/ AEO, blog, and social into a single plan with a consistent brand voice across Sketchy (B2C) and DDx (B2B).
  • Maintain the content calendar, prioritizing production based on audience needs, search opportunity, and company goals.
  • Run keyword and content-gap analysis for both audiences and execute SEO, AEO, and GEO optimization, including surfacing both brands in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.
  • Write and optimize blog posts, long-form content, meta titles, descriptions, and FAQ content tuned for organic search and AI answer engines.
  • Publish directly in Webflow and work within established CMS and content workflows.
  • Own organic social strategy and execution across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Meta with channel-specific plans to grow and engage both the student audience (Sketchy) and educator audience (DDx).
  • Write social copy and captions, or brief and manage content creators to produce it, maintaining brand voice across every channel.
  • Track performance across owned channels using GA4, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and social analytics tools, and adjust the plan based on what the data shows.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years in content marketing, editorial, or social media roles - with meaningful experience across both written content and social channels.
  • Strong portfolio spanning blog/long-form, social media (across multiple platforms), and SEO-optimized content, with a track record of building audience and organic reach.
  • Hands-on SEO/AEO experience
  • Demonstrated ability to own a content calendar end-to-end and manage multiple content types and channels simultaneously.
  • Social media fluency across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Meta - including both strategy and copy production.
  • Data fluency: comfortable pulling insights from GA4, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and social analytics tools, and making decisions based on what the data shows.
  • Proficiency with a CMS - Webflow experience strongly preferred.

Bonus Points
  • Background in edtech, healthcare, or student-focused products.
  • Familiarity with healthcare education (medical school, NP programs, PA programs).
  • Experience in a growth-stage startup environment (Seed to Series B).

If you don't have 100% of the bullets listed above, that's okay! We know there are no perfect applicants. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference, we want to hear from you! Learn more about Sketchy's culture at sketchy.com/careers.
