Position Summary

The Arena Attendant is part of the team that operates Independence Community Ice on a daily basis. Arena Attendants are the backbone of the Community Ice Staff and are relied upon for daily rink operations. This position reports to the Manager on Duty.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00-$19.00. 

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until August 21, 2026.

 
About the Venue

Cable Dahmer Arena is a 5,800-seat arena in Independence, Missouri. In conjunction with the Arena, OVG also operates Independence Community Ice.  

Responsibilities
  • Perform any duty required to operate the rink.
  • Reception-Greeting customers and checking in prepaid pass holders.
  • Pro Shop Attendant-Staffing cashier and/or rental desk. 
  • Process payments and hand out skates.
  • Housekeeping-Monitor rink during open hours for cleanliness. 
  • After closing, clean the rink as needed, including vacuuming and sweeping the rink and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Monitor ice to maintain the safety of customers. 
  • Address issues with individual skaters as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience as a Cashier is a plus.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team environments.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Creative and proactive problem solver.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality.
