About Us:
Skateworld San Diego is the city's only indoor roller skating rink and has been a community destination for nearly 50 years. We provide a fun and safe environment for families, skaters of all ages, and event-goers. We're looking for a responsible and professional Door Security Person to help maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check guests at the entrance to ensure compliance with rink policies.
  • Monitor guest behavior and enforce safety rules and conduct policies.
  • Conduct bag checks and ensure no outside food, drinks, or prohibited items are brought in.
  • Assist with crowd control, especially during busy sessions, parties, and special events.
  • Handle any disturbances or security concerns professionally and de-escalate situations as needed.
  • Work closely with management and team members to maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to emergencies and follow Skateworld's safety procedures.
  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming presence while ensuring order and security.
Qualifications:
  • Previous security, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Professional, alert, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
